The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has the position of Staff Cafeteria Ambassador!
What are my responsibilities?
As a Staff Cafeteria Ambassador, you will be a vital part of our kitchen and stewarding team, responsible for ensuring that our Ambassadors Canteen is a warm, welcoming space for all team members. This role goes beyond just serving food, you will create an environment that feels like home, where our ambassadors can relax, recharge, and enjoy their meals.
In addition, you will have the flexibility to support our Beverage & Food team during shifts, such as breakfast, when needed, ensuring seamless operation across all areas.
What are we looking for?
At the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel, one of our core values is putting people first, and that includes our ambassadors. As a Staff Cafeteria Ambassador, you are the heart of the Ambassadors Canteen. We are looking for someone who creates a welcoming, home-like environment and treats our ambassadors like valued guests.
You:
Ensure lunch and dinner service is well-prepared, timely, and smoothly executed.
Communicate with the kitchen team to make sure all meals are ready and served on time.
Maintain cleanliness and order throughout the canteen before, during, and after meal periods.
Set up the space in an inviting, organized, and presentable way at all times.
Be attentive to ambassadors' needs and respond with warmth and care.
Take full ownership of the canteen, treating it as your own space to host and care for others.
Show pride in creating a positive atmosphere where team members feel appreciated and cared for.
To be eligible for this position, you…
Have a background in hospitality or food & beverage service.
Are fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
Are flexible to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Are available to work full-time.

We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new bar, restaurant and rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference center will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
